In Paul's own words

People power will make the difference.I have worked for and delivered rent reductions in council housing. I will continue to advocate for local people and hold this Council to account.

We are an alliance of socialists from local grassroots community groups, campaigning groups in the Borough and local community activists. We are committed to transforming local politics in Haringey. We aspire to build an inclusive and democratic alliance to provide a political alternative to the establishment in Haringey and to challenge the rotten Labour Party leadership of the Council that is imposing Austerity on residents. We want to join with and amplify the voices of social justice campaigns across Haringey. We oppose all cuts in services, the wealthy should pay for decent Public Services including housing, health, education. We oppose the privatisation of public services for profit!

On Housing we will:

Expand social home building and provide appropriate accommodation for all our communities

Call off evictions and the bailiffs and enforce legislation against unlawful and unfair evictions

Campaign for rent controls

Make private landlords implement repairs and refurbishment to provide clean quality rented accommodation for all our residents

Make a permanent plan to repair and improve all social housing

Change Haringey’s planning priorities to serve Haringey residents not property developers and speculators

Stop selling off Haringey Council property and assets

On Poverty we will:

Change the narrative! Those in poverty will not be blamed, we will blame those who are making themselves rich off the backs off the poor and the politicians who support the rich

Fight for justice for all benefits claimants and oppose all benefit cuts

Build local community hubs to build solidarity, agency and advocacy for our residents

Campaign for free public transport in London

On the Climate Catastrophe we will

Take all the necessary measures to provide clean air and water for Haringey

Implement policies that require all building and transport infrastructure to meet the standards of the green agenda

Stop investing in the oil multinationals

Continue to oppose and block the building of Incinerators for power generation

On Community Organising we will:

Support the right to food, implement policies that stop children going hungry and work with community organisations to ensure all have good nutrition and dignity in accessing food

Support all community food growing projects and initiatives

Refurbish and expand community spaces and centres ensuring all local groups have the community spaces they want

Develop play, sport and recreation spaces for all our children and adults

On unity against racism & discrimination we will:

Strengthen language support and boost integration of communities

Decolonize local education, ban exclusions and expand all education for migrants to prosper in Haringey because migrants are welcome in Haringey

Not co-operate with Prevent or Immigration raids or police targeting minorities

Defend Trans rights, women's rights and disability rights

On Israel's Genocide we will:

End all investment in businesses that are trading with or in Israel

Develop and implement and policy of ethical investment that stops investment in businesses associated with military, war and genocide

Stop banking with Barclays

Support Workers' direct action boycott of Israel, war, genocide and campaign for all trade-unions in Haringey to support the boycott of genocide across the world

Support the self-determination of the Palestinian people and the Kurdish people

We stand firmly on the principle of building a just and inclusive society—one that is anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-austerity, anti-war and anti-imperialist. We are committed to defending and expanding high-quality, publicly owned services which are developed in meaningful partnership with the residents who need them.
