“I worked as a lecturer at West Lancashire College from 2009 to 2015 and I have worked training the next generation of teachers at Edge Hill University since 2015. I have taught hundreds of former students who now live and work around the council area. In 2010 I stood as the Green Party Parliamentary candidate for West Lancashire and again in the Parliamentary by-election in 2023.”
“As someone who has been a Green member for over 25 years, I've fought for social justice as an anti-racism campaigner on Merseyside, worked alongside anti-fracking campaigns and campaigning for a fairer society. As a father of three, my teenage children face a challenging world. When I was born CO2 was 327 parts per million (ppm) in the atmosphere - it is now at 429 ppm and rising - the climate crisis has never been more urgent.”
“There are those who deny science, stoke division in society and blame the poorest and the most vulnerable. There are politicians who are funded and influenced by the millionaires, billionaires and those who hold power in society, and bend to what they want. The Greens stand opposed to that.”
“We stand to represent local people and listen to concerns, for lower bills, for cleaner cheaper energy and to make hope normal again.”
