Asif Khan
Labour councillor for Leggatts
Active on State
Council: Watford
Term ends: 6 May 2027
Experienced. Accessible. Getting things done. Come and talk to me. You don't have to wait for an election to see your councillor. I regularly meet residents across Leggatts and North Watford, whether at surgeries, community events, on the doorstep or simply while I am out and about in the ward. If you have a problem that I can help with, please get in touch. Housing • Roads • Parking • Council services • Community safety • Environment • Casework Appointments can also be arranged if you would prefer to discuss something privately. - just email me or give me a call. I have had the privilege of representing Leggatts since 2011, working alongside residents and communities across North Watford. For me, being a councillor is about much more than meetings at the Town Hall. It means being visible, listening to residents, taking up individual casework and getting everyday problems sorted. From fly-tipping, roads and pavements to housing, parking, community safety and supporting local organisations, I will always speak up for our area. Having also represented North Watford on Hertfordshire County Council, I bring many years of experience dealing with both borough and county services. If something matters to you, it matters to me.

🏘️ Standing up for our neighbourhoods
Tackling fly-tipping, dumped rubbish, damaged street furniture and other problems that make our neighbourhoods look neglected.
🚗 Safer streets
Working on speeding, traffic, parking pressures and dangerous vehicle movements, while pushing the relevant authorities to take residents' concerns seriously.
🚶 Better roads and pavements
Reporting potholes, damaged pavements, blocked drains and other highway problems – and following them up until residents get an answer.
🤝 A community that stands together
Supporting our mosques, synagogues, churches, charities, schools and community organisations, while challenging hatred and division wherever it occurs.
📣 Making sure Leggatts is heard
Taking residents' concerns directly to Watford Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and other agencies rather than allowing people to be passed from one organisation to another.
