Danny Carr

Reform UK councillor for Ashton St Michael's

Term started: 7 May 2026

Reform UK

Danny is a lifelong Tameside resident, a happily married family man, and someone who understands the area and the people who live here. With a post-graduate qualification from the University of Salford in employment law policy and practice, alongside a successful career in operations management, Danny brings a strong understanding of how organisations should work - and where they often fall short. In his current role as part of the HR operations team of a national health and social care charity, he sees first-hand the pressures facing services and the importance of getting decisions right for both staff and the public. That experience gives Danny a grounded, practical perspective on how Tameside Council can better deliver for residents - particularly when it comes to improving Adult Services and ensuring support is consistent, accountable, and effective. We are proud to support Danny as our candidate for Ashton St. Michael’s. He will be a thoughtful, reliable voice on the council - focused on delivering better outcomes for the people of Ashton St Michael's and Tameside after 48 years of neglect.
