Matt Mellor
Liberal Democrats councillor for Walpole
Council: Ealing
Term ends: 2 May 2030
Matthew Mellor is originally from Sheffield but has lived in Northfields for over a decade. A resident of Walpole, he lives with his wife and 2 children who attend local schools. Matthew spent 12 years working in local government and a decade working as a contract manager in the NHS. "I'm passionate about social justice and ensuring we have people with liberal values representing our community on Ealing Council. I'm focused on improving our local services and ensuring no vulnerable person in our community gets left behind or forgotten, which is why protecting our local education, health and social care, and communities services is so important". The biggest thing he would change about the Council is it’s bad record of listening to local people. At a ward level, the council must engage better with residents and I will tackle the visible failings of the council including litter, overgrown vegetation, blocked gullies and potholes.
