Michael Denniss

Conservative councillor for Chiswick Homefields

Term started: 7 May 2026

Conservative

Michael is a former Hounslow councillor who grew up in Chiswick and has lived in the borough all his life. He studied History at York University and went on to study law. After qualifying as a solicitor he now works in the energy sector. He has been involved in local charities like The Shelter Project Hounslow and local environment initiatives such as Thames Strategy: Kew to Chelsea. As a councillor Michael was an active member of Hounslow’s Planning Committee and played a key role in reforming the Council's constitution. He'll champion transparency and value for money in the council and at the Chiswick Area Forum. He will seek greater value for residents from the council, such as more effective leaf sweeping and greater action on potholes. He will fight for a greater proportion of affordable and accessible housing in future developments while defending the historical beauty of Chiswick. He will work with residents and companies to prioritise the cleanliness of our river, for river users, and aim to improve the Council’s cleaning and recycling rates. He will push for a review of local street lighting, and a review of unsafe cycle lanes.
