Tyrone Scott

Green Party councillor for Hackney Wick

Term started: 7 May 2026

Green Party

I am Tyrone Scott, I live in Hackney and I have worked in Housing for the last 6 years. I am passionate about tackling the social and environmental issues facing the people of Hackney and across the UK. We have a housing crisis with people being moved far away from their communities, rent out of control and many families living in cramped, unsafe conditions. I will work tirelessly to fix our broken housing system. I will also ensure we address the Climate Emergency and continue to campaign against Heathrow expansion and to drastically reduce our carbon output. I was born in Germany to a British Jamaican father and German mother and have seen first hand the benefits of being part of the European Union, I am dedicated to securing a second referendum and then campaigning to remain and then radically reform the European Union. My involvement with the Young Greens has given me a broad perspective of the issues facing young people and I am currently elected as the Campaigns Officer for the Young Greens, helping to highlight these issues and fight for social change.
