I was born in Derby in 1950 and have lived in South Derbyshire for 43 years. I contested Ticknall Ward, which in the 1980s included Stenson Fields twice before being elected in 1995 and have been re-elected to represent Stenson Ward at every election since . I have been a school governor at Stenson Fields School for 40 years and have enjoyed my time working with the excellent teaching staff. I am proud to have campaigned for a Community Centre when the Stenson Road estate was built and will continue to ensure that the community benefits from any further developments.

Medical Facilities for Stenson Ward
The NHS Sinfin Surgery is totally inadequate for the current residents of Stenson Ward, the SDDC Local Plan - part 1 will bring 2500 plus new homes and thousands of new residents. New medical facilities are needed before the new homes are built.
A new secondary school is needed
The planned extension of the ward under the SDDC Local Plan - part 1 will require a new secondary school to accommodate the new children resulting from the planned housing development.
