County Councillor representing the Bamburgh division of Northumberland County Council, and Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services. As the Portfolio Holder I am responsible for Children’s Services, Schools, Youth Services, Training Skills and Enterprise, and Corporate Parenting. I work with Senior Officers, Directors and Leaders to set budgets, priorities and objectives for the Administration. I also act as an ambassador for the Council; working with local partners, Members of Parliament and Central Government to make sure Northumberland's voice is heard. As a County Councillor I represent approximately 4000 people at local government level. This can range from organising a fresh bin collection through to lobbying MP’s and senior officials on behalf of my constituents.
