Born, went to school and brought up in Chaddesden, I am passionate about the history, heritage and well-being of the village. I spent the first part of my career as a teacher then 30 years in policing, culminating as the UK Police Service's lead for national security intelligence and the Prevent strand of the UK's Counter Terrorism Strategy. Following that I worked in executive positions for Unisys and Tyler Technologies supporting government and law enforcement agencies worldwide. I then set up and ran my own business in IT consulting. In 2023 I commenced a political career successfully standing as the Conservative candidate for Chaddesden East in the city of Derby. My #1 focus is the supporting and advocating for the residents of Chaddesden. I also Chair the Audit & Governance Committee of the Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, represent Derby on the Derbyshire Police & Crime Panel and am Chairman of the Mid-Derbyshire & Derby Conservative Association.
