Kaushika Amin
Labour councillor for Northumberland Park
Council: Haringey
Term ends: 2 May 2030
I have lived in Haringey for around 20 years. My twin daughters attended local primary and secondary schools, and are involved with community activities. Prior to that I lived in Leicester where I still have a very large extended family. I was born in Kenya and moved to the UK when I was about 10 years old. My social interests include going to the cinema, reading novels (thrillers and biographies in particular), theatre, walking and listening to a variety of music. I feel I can make a positive contribution to Northumberland Park not only to the ward but also to individual families. I am particularly interested in issues around mental health, the welfare of children and families, regeneration, improving opportunities for young people and older people who have already contributed a great deal to our community.
