Liberal Democrats councillor for Eastlands
Council: Rugby
Term started: 7 May 2026
Dear Resident, Over the last few months, I have spoken with many of you in the ward whilst conducting our resident survey. It was heartening to hear how you value our Focus newsletters and how we have kept in contact with you outside of election time and during these Covid times. You raised many local issues and we have tried to resolve them where we can by working in partnership with you the resident. It has been good to see areas such as the resurfacing of Lower Hillmorton Road and pavement in Eastlands Road. The campaign with your councillors and residents has also seen a new playground at Whinfield recreation ground. There is still much to do and if you elect me I will be working alongside Councillors Neil Sandison and Sue Roodhouse and will continue to press for further investment in Eastlands. Over the next few years we shall see the regeneration of the Biart Place site and we are pressing for this to be high quality Council housing. I will continue to work on improvements in the ward such as Whitehall recreation cycle ways. The Liberal Democrat track record in Eastlands speaks for itself. I hope you will vote for me on May 5th for an active, caring and effective councillor. With best wishes Sam Edwards
