Scrap either EV pay-per-mile tax or Vehicle Excise Duty for EVs. Don't have both
From 2028 electric car owners will pay BOTH VED car tax and 3p per mile. We think this will punish working people and families resulting in around £300 extra for 10000 miles on top of £195 VED tax for many EVs. It's not like the electricity to charge the car hasn't already been taxed.
