·131 reactions·100% agree

Make it illegal for the DVLA to share driver and keeper data with private companies. Drivers should not have their personal information released without consent, especially for use by private parking firms. DVLA data should only be provided to public authorities.

Require stricter evidence thresholds for DVLA to start medical investigations

The DVLA should have stricter evidence thresholds before undertaking medical assessments of an individual's fitness to hold a licence. They should not be allowed to act on the basis of third-party or anonymous reports without a higher standard of evidence which confirms that a report holds validity.

Ban the use of driver-facing cameras in HGVs and company vehicles

Ban the use of driver-facing cameras in HGVs and company vehicles. We think these cameras invade drivers’ privacy, breach data protection principles, and harm mental health without clear safety benefits. Only road-facing or external cameras should be allowed.

DVLA to implement mandatory eye tests for all drivers & sight reporting

DVLA to implement mandatory eye tests for drivers for all ages. We believe that any vision impairment such as short or long sightedness should be something which drivers are mandated to report, just like other health conditions which may affect their vision.

Ban private car parking companies

I want the government to ban private parking companies. They make thousands of pounds from parking fines. I believe many who are served fines are hard-working people either enjoying a weekend with family, or meeting friends to socialise in public places.

Repeal the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 in full and stop Digital ID rollouts

We believe the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 could be a backdoor to Digital ID, and that it could erode privacy, enable mass data sharing, and weaken individual rights. We demand Parliament repeal it.
