Phil Lofts served in the Army. He is a retired Community Education Officer and Project Manager. He is an experienced councillor who has served Old Town for 10 years and whose family has been in Old Town for several generations. Phil is a member of Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, RSPB, and Barnsley Civic Trust.
