In Stewart's own words

I’m south Essex born and a Billericay resident for thirty plus years. In that time, I’ve been a long-serving local school governor, chaired the Essex Wildlife Trust and completed two terms as the Honorary Secretary of the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. So it’s no shock that I know just how vital all of our open green spaces are.

I currently work for the Professional Footballers' Association, supporting former players living with dementia. I’m also a local football club director.

Like most local residents, I'm deeply concerned about the way that mass housing development is being foisted on our town without care or concern for local people. Our schools, GP and other health services, roads and public transport are already at breaking point. Without massive improvements in local infrastructure, our town will cease to function properly. We simply cannot allow this to continue as it is.

I’m grateful to have been selected as a Green candidate for my town again - and together we can build a real voice for Billericay..
