Green Party candidate for Penge & Cator
“I have proudly called this part of South London home for more than fifteen years, and it is where I have chosen to build both my professional and family life. As the headteacher of a local school, every day I see how strong communities help children and families thrive. The relationships between schools, families, local organisations and the council are vital, and I am passionate about helping those connections grow even stronger.”
“Community has always been at the heart of what matters to me. Since welcoming my son in Autumn 2024, the local amenities in Penge and Cator ward have become even more important in our daily life. Like many local parents, I now spend plenty of time enjoying the fantastic resources on our doorstep — visiting the library, playing in our local parks, and taking part in activities at Community Vision. These spaces, which bring people together and make our neighbourhood such a special place to live, need championing and I feel confident to do this at a council level.”
“Through my work in education, I have extensive experience working closely with local authorities. As a headteacher I regularly collaborate with council services and sit on a number of Local Authority committees, giving me a strong understanding of how local government works and the confidence to navigate the system effectively. I know how decisions are made and how to advocate for the needs of our community.”
“I first became involved with the Green Party more than twenty years ago because I believe in building fairer, greener and more supportive communities. I love living and working here, and I want to help ensure our area continues to improve — from investing in spaces such as Alexandra Recreation Ground and Cator Park to pushing for step-free access at our local stations. I would be proud to represent our community and work with residents to make our neighbourhood even better.”
