Green Party candidate for Penge & Cator
“Penge and the surrounding area is all I know. I’ve lived here all my life along with three generations of my wider family that make up the strong Caribbean community in South East London. I know our community’s potential, but I’ve also seen how years of the same old politics have let us down. While our current representatives have been in post for a long time, the issues we face aren’t getting better—from the lack of fire safety accountability in new builds and the cycle of pothole-ridden roads, to the rising crime driven by financial inequality.”
“I’m standing for the Green Party because I’m tired of seeing our pockets and vital public services squeezed by cost cutting, while the top 1% live in abundance. Real change starts at the local level. As your local councillor, I will bring my skillset in accountability and rigour as a software developer to Bromley Council.”
“For you and for a better Penge, I will:”
“● Support social housing: Having been disappointed by and objecting to the initial proposed Blenheim development with only 30% of "affordable" housing, I welcome the change to make it 100% social housing. More housing is essential in Penge and throughout London, and this development can have other benefits for our area. However I only support them if they are built to the highest safety standards without cutting corners for profit.”
“● Fix our infrastructure: I will advocate for brick-style paving rather than tarmac on residential streets as a smarter, long-term investment that ends the cycle of temporary pothole patches and naturally slows traffic.”
“● Tackle crime at the root: I will push for community-led prevention and rehabilitative schemes that address inequality and reduce reoffending.”
“● Restore our streets: I will push for more bins and better support for our waste collection teams to tackle litter and fly-tipping properly.”
