In Ashraf's own words

After speaking with many residents and local businesses across Manningham, I’ve been encouraged to stand in the local elections on 7 May 2026.

I’m proud to be selected as a Labour candidate for Manningham Ward.

Having lived in Manningham most of my life, I understand our community and the challenges we face. I have spent decades working in youth and community development across Bradford, and I am a local businessman, charity director and General Secretary of a Masjid in Frizinghall.

I know residents are concerned about crime, fly-tipping, opportunities for young people and pressure on local services. If elected, I will work to make our streets safer, improve cleanliness, support young people and ensure Manningham’s voice is heard.

This election is about our community and our future. Together, we can build a safer, cleaner, stronger Manningham.

I would be honoured to have your support.
