In Edward's own words

Raised between cultures, rooted in community, I understand what it means to build a life somewhere new, and I'm ready to bring that to Trumpington.

Like many in Trumpington, I was not born here, yet feel the warmth and hope of the people. I grew up on a London council estate as the child of working‑class Polish and Kurdish immigrant parents, learning early the importance of fairness and aspiration. My first experience in public service was as an elected youth councillor, where I successfully campaigned for frequent, and reliable, public transport.

Trumpington, at the heart of Cambridge’s technology corridor, deserves leaders who understand the importance of protecting public spaces, supporting social mobility, and standing firm against pressures from big investors. I work as a software engineer with experience across finance and some of Europe’s leading tech startups, where I’ve championed fair representation and supported unionisation. That experience has shown me first‑hand how large companies can shape, and sometimes overshadow, our cities, and why Trumpington needs leadership that values innovation but never compromises accountability.

As your Green representative, I’ll prioritise sustainable development that puts people and the planet first. I see Trumpington’s newness as a strength: its cycling culture, wetlands, and community‑centred design already make it a model for green living. Together, we can build on that promise by tackling local issues like affordable housing, potholes, and earning Trumpington its first ofsted Outstanding rated school for its families, while protecting our natural spaces and ensuring the ward’s identity is set by its people.
