In Darren's own words

Here's some info about me...... I currently live in Etching Hill and I have lived in Rugeley for the whole of my life.

I have previously served on the District Council, have been active in the community and I understand what is important to local people.

I have been a professional youth worker for over 20 years and currently support children in care to get their voices heard by decision maker

Since being elected as your Labour & Co-operative Party District Councillor in January 2023, I have been STANDING UP FOR YOU through: resolving individual issues raised with me; holding local Help & Advice sessions; and carrying out 'Estate Walks' to identify and report issues. Through working with residents, issues I have addressed to date include overgrown trees and hedges, housing repairs and fly tipping. I would love to continue this work by being re-elected in May. I will champion our community spirit by speaking up for residents over planning applications and create regular opportunities for residents to take part in local community action like litter picks and clear ups

I will hold regular drop-in sessions for residents and support local good causes with my councillor’s allowance and also hold regular ‘estate walks’ to identify local issues and get them sorted.
