As a 20-year-old, local resident who has grown up here and attended school at Queen Elizabeth’s, I believe strongly in fighting to reclaim Barnet for residents. Our money and land have been stolen for profits by private companies that have neglected our roads, built on our green spaces, and caused our bills to soar. We are now forced to pay the price via tax grabs and outrageous parking fees. My pledges 📢 ✅ PROTECT PUBLIC SERVICES! ✅ POWER TO RESIDENTS! ✅ BRING BACK FREE PARKING! ✅ AFFORDABLE HOMES! ✅ BRING BACK BARNET FC! What I am fighting for 🚩 • An End to Public Service Cuts and Council Tax Hikes! 💵 This year, funding for public services was cut by £9.4 million, and council tax was raised by 4.98%. I will publicise where this money is being wasted. • A Real Voice and Safety for Residents! 🗣️ I will host 3 public meetings annually to listen to residents, starting 20th June, this year. I will consult the police frequently to improve local safety. • Return Public Services, Green Spaces, and Barnet FC to Residents! 🌳 I will fight for services to be run for people, not profit. I’ll protect our Green Belt from developers and fight to bring Barnet FC back home to the borough. • An End to Controlled Parking Zones! 🅿️ I will support the 85% of residents who opposed CPZ, fighting for an end to the CPZ experiment and for free residential parking permits for locals. • Affordable Council Homes! 🏡 I will fight for more affordable social homes and to introduce a private rental licensing scheme to crack down on rogue landlords and protect tenants.
