In Meena's own words

I am proud to be a Greenwich resident. As a consultant at the intersection of Science and Business, with a degree in Biochemistry and an MBA, I bring evidence-based thinking and a practical, results-driven approach to everything I do.

Over the last decade I have worked (in a voluntary capacity) in Harm Reduction, supporting people with addiction issues and developing programmes to minimise the risks associated with substance use. I regularly organise and lead groups of volunteers for welfare support at festivals and events.

I am actively involved in the Greenwich community, also volunteering with the Woolwich Service Users Project (WSUP) and other initiatives for vulnerable people, helping them connect with services that improve their wellbeing and stability.

As a candidate for council, my priorities are protecting our green spaces, championing local independent shops and maintaining cleaner, safer neighbourhoods. My professional work across international contexts has shown me how quickly public trust erodes when governments lack transparency. I strongly believe accountability starts at the ground level, and I would strive to ensure the council is efficient and answerable to the people it serves.

Greens are rising around here - if you are longing for bold action for a greener Greenwich, give us your vote on the 7th of May.
