In Gareth's own words

One thing we have learnt during the pandemic is that we all need a helping hand every now and then., our communities are at their best when we work together.

I've lived in Waterbeach for 25 years. You may have seen my name on a ballot paper before. That's because I am a local person who stands up for the community's interests.

I've played prominent roles in community campaigns. This includes saving homes and allotments by seeing off proposals for the busway.

I passionately believe in a quality health services accessible to all. I want to see the Council co-operating with the elected mayor, Dr Nik Johnson, as he puts health at the heart of local policies.

I've worked in the NHS for 30 years. I've learned that in a large organisation, if you want something, you have to fight your corner. As a councillor I would be just as determined to get the best deal for our villages.

GP services should be in place ready as new residents move in. And we need affordable homes for local people and healthcare workers. The Council can and should be doing more to deliver.
