Richard Harris

Reform UK candidate for Southwick and Wickham

Reform UK

I’ve lived just outside Wickham for 21 years, moving here from Reading when my wife and I had our first child. This is our home. I joined Reform in 2025 and I’m running for election for the first time. Why you ask? To put it bluntly I’ve had enough of voting for parties who clearly don’t listen, so I’ve decided to be part of the change in direction our country needs. I work in IT and use Fareham station to attend meetings across the country. I used to drive more regularly but travelling on the roads has become impossible due to the terrible congestion. I worry about the future of our community where just doing the basics of getting to work, shopping locally, running a business and raising our children is getting harder and harder. Local council decisions don’t appear to be helping the situation and in some cases are making it worse! Plans lacking common sense driven by ideas which are not fully thought out with no clear direction. To top it off, all this change costs money, our money.
