In Lauren's own words

Meet Lauren, standing in Sidney Sussex ward. While we are sad to see Sophia Farren step down, Sophia has shared how proud she is to be handing over to someone as dedicated and committed as Lauren.

Lauren cares deeply about the local community and wants to turn that commitment into practical action for residents. She is passionate about listening to local people, standing up for children and families, and working on the issues that shape everyday life, including safety, opportunity, inclusion and pride in the area.

Her career has been rooted in community work. She currently works for Victim Support and has experience in community safety, resilience and probation, giving her a strong understanding of the challenges many families face.

Alongside her professional work, Lauren volunteers locally and founded a children’s activity club supporting SEND and disadvantaged children and families, helping create inclusive opportunities and stronger community connections. She is committed to being a visible, hardworking voice for Sidney Sussex.
