In George's own words

I am proud to have been chosen as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bexleyheath and Crayford.   I have lived in South East London since 1995. I recently retired from the Foreign Office, after a career in foreign affairs and development assistance that took me to Africa, Asia and Central and Eastern Europe. I served as Ambassador for the UK and for the European Union. I am an active member of the Greenwich and Bexley Green Party. I stood as a candidate in the 2022 local elections, and I have been engaging regularly with my local Council to push for a better performance on housing, environment and other issues. I am standing for Parliament because I want to be part of the Green Party's efforts to change the policy agenda and to make a positive difference.
