Councillor Candidate

Dan Wood

Green Party candidate for Northowram and Shelf

Green Party

We can all see that ‘the system’ is broken. The Green Party wants to try to bring in a fairer system — where we work in tandem with the planet to try to stop the headlong rush to humanity’s extinction. I will work hard for the people of Shelf and Northowram ward, whilst trying to influence broader council policy across Calderdale, inline with the aims of the Green Party, and my personal deeply held belief in strong, well funded public services, welfare for those in need and fairness and dignity in public service. I've got over 20 years experience working as a software developer and technical manager at board level across a wealth of local and multinational companies. I help out with local community events, including squirrel club, and previously scouts. I was raised in Pepper Hill from birth, and have lived here for most of my life. I own a home in the ward and intend to do my level best to improve the lives of others in the ward.
