In Chip's own words

I’m standing to be your county councillor because I love our area – its community, heritage, and natural beauty – and I’m committed to making it sustainable, safe, and thriving for future generations. That’s why I proudly wear the Green rosette: the party shares my commitment to local health and welfare but allows me to always put you first – not a party manifesto.

I believe being your representative shouldn’t just be about relaying questions to council officers. Your issues are my issues, and I won’t stop until I have clear reasons, solutions, and a plan to bring them sooner. And I’m not afraid to stand up publicly for your causes. Many in Brampton saw this when, after residents expressed frustration at last November’s chaotic multi-agency flood meeting, I stepped up as impromptu chair, ensuring we got clear answers. I’ve since helped found Brampton’s Flood Local Action Group.

I’ve supported Grafham and Brampton residents in keeping Wibbly Wobbly Road open, securing official confirmation it will remain open to all vehicles with improved safety. And inspired by Buckden Parish Council’s fantastic youth initiatives, I’ve agreed to help Brampton and Grafham PCs set up their own youth councils too.

But having worked closely with existing local councillors, I know all this is just the tip of the iceberg. A vote for me is a vote for someone who will champion a sustainable, safe, and thriving Cambridgeshire we can all be proud to call home.
