In Colin's own words

It has been a privilege to serve as councillor for Sprites, especially as I’m part of the local Chantry community myself, having lived here for over a decade. It is with pride that I’ve been able to represent the area on the Council.

I will continue to highlight the condition of many of our neglected roads. Through the local press and my position on the Scrutiny Committee, I have drawn the attention of Suffolk County Council to my report on our roads. Although some progress is being made, particularly on Sheldrake Drive, there is still much to be done.

In the last two years, I have been Chair of Labour councillors on Ipswich Borough Council and have overseen an immensely tough period for local government funding. I’m proud that we have protected frontline services, continue to provide affordable housing and invest in our town.
