Robin has lived in Ipswich for all but 2 of his 54 years. He joined the party in 1984 whilst at college and after graduating worked for the party as organiser until the 1987 general election. From 1992-1994 he was Business Manager for Liberal Democrat News. He has worked as Political Assistant to to the Liberal Democrat Leaders of Chelmsford, Norwich and Isle of Wight and served as agent to Sir Bob Russell when he was MP for Colchester. He has also been a candidate or agent in elections in Ipswich many times. He is currently a Royal Mail postman, part time researcher and supporting artist. He has been married to Hilary for over 30 years.
