In Eden's own words

Leeds is my home, and I’ve seen first-hand how national and local politicians have sought to divide our communities and ignore the problems that residents face every day.

Whether it’s the lack of affordable housing, inaccessible public transport, our strained public services, or the upkeep of our green spaces, I promise to keep fighting to improve the lives of residents across Little London and Woodhouse.

By working with local housing groups, I’ve seen how easy it is for homeless people to fall through the gaps in council processes. With tenant unions, I’ve seen how an unfair system worsens and perpetuates housing insecurity. With local transport campaign groups, I’ve protested against stripping back services that would leave our disabled residents without a reliable way to get around the city.

It’s these community voices that need a seat at the table; there should be nothing decided about us, without us.

Politicians can and should be working to create a fairer system, but so often they aren’t. I’m standing to be your Green councillor in Little London and Woodhouse to make sure that happens.
