In Amber's own words

Hello, my name is Amber, your Green Party candidate for Morley North.

Since moving to Leeds in 2024 for university, I now consider Leeds my home and have a deep love for the city.

I joined the Green Party in 2023 because it was the only major political party that recognised the links between environmental and social justice. Through volunteering with the party, I have been involved with a range of campaigning and activism, from litter picking and door knocking to attending marches advocating for women’s rights, standing against racism and in solidarity with Palestine. I have also been working as treasurer for the Leeds University Green Party Society, helping to create a community of inspired young activists who further support the amazing work being done by the party.

I am standing to be the candidate for Morley North as I want to ensure that local concerns such as community safety, affordable housing and improving public services are addressed. The Green Party’s national policies are inherently aligned with supporting local communities and businesses, and I would ensure that local interests are central to my work as a councillor.
