In Matthew's own words

I love this area, but as in many other parts of Leeds, walking around you can clearly see the signs of how inequality is taking a toll on the community.

My vision for Leeds is a city where everyone can access affordable housing that is safe to live in, where public transport is cheap and reliable, and where people aren’t struggling just to survive.

I joined the Green Party because they are the only party with real ambition to create a fairer society. We must expand social housing and bring transport into public ownership. How can it be fair that the basic things we all need in life are monopolised by multi-nationals and rented back to us

I reject completely the divisive politics that tells us migration is the reason people are struggling. Together we can transform Leeds into a City of Belonging.
