In Mary-Clare's own words

I am proud to be the third generation of my family to call the Bromley borough home. Although I live just outside the Farnborough and Crofton ward (so close that the houses at the bottom of my garden fall within it) I walk through the ward every day with my dog and feel deeply connected to this community.

Since moving here in 2019, I’ve seen first‑hand how our neighbourhood supports one another, especially during the most difficult moments of the COVID pandemic. That resilience and sense of care inspired me to become more active locally, including through my involvement in the Women’s Institute. I also make a point of supporting our independent traders, who are such a vital part of what makes this area vibrant and unique.

I know that everyday people in our community continue to face rising living costs and growing pressures. I am standing for election because I want to help ensure that local voices are heard, that our neighbourhood remains a place where families can thrive, and that we continue to look out for one another—just as we did when times were toughest. If I am elected, three principles will guide everything I do: making life more affordable, backing the caring majority, and protecting our environment for the future.
