In James's own words

As a councillor for Headington Hill & Northway I’ve been working for you to improve the area.

I’m passionate about our community and the people who live here. For Plowmans residents I’ve secured a new bus stop and fought for quicker repairs to the tower. I’ve got the council to begin looking after the ponds by the community centre. I’ve got the alleyway at crotch crescent repaired and lighting installed. I’m proud of the Northway estate, i fight for policies like free bulky waste and more grass verge cuts because of this.

As a young person living in Oxford, I’m very conscious of the cost of renting, and hope to continue to fight for affordable housing.

I have also secured extra community wardens to tackle antisocial behaviour, and I continue to push for employers to pay the Oxford living wage. Cost of living in our city is already high enough, and i oppose the inequitable congestion charge, which unfairly punishes many residents.
