In Beki's own words

Beki Sellick is an engineer who worked through from shopfloor to Director. Her Peterborough business advises governments and companies on innovation. Beki helps deliver sustainable transport to fight climate change, bring people together and create jobs.

As a community campaigner, Beki creates a cleaner, safer, friendlier community. She’s won grants to build connections between neighbours. She secured more power for tenants across Peterborough, improving homes by weeding out rogue landlords.

Beki rides her bike around the city where she lives and works with her family. Beki will protect our freedoms to live, love, work and study throughout a reformed EU, empowering local and national government get on with improving everyone’s lives.

Beki is standing as “Liberal Democrat – To Stop Brexit”. Stopping Brexit is key to unlock our deadlocked politics and reverse the rise in Peterborough’s hate crime, isolation and poverty.

'Getting Brexit done' is false: 10 more years of uncertainty would follow. Our food safety, wages and health will be forced down as we try to get trade deals.

Negotiating another Brexit is false too, with more waste and divisiveness while we wait. But if the LibDems win, we can Stop Brexit before Christmas, Remain in the EU and invest the £50billion Remain Bonus in 3 things Peterborough really wants:

1. building up our city economy creating more skilled jobs, focusing on implementing innovation, giving every adult £10,000 to spend on learning;

2. reversing cuts with properly funded NHS and social care, police, transport and public services, targeting child poverty with free daycare from 9 months for working parents; and

3. tackling the climate emergency, insulating out fuel poverty and improving well-being.

Beki offers Peterborough a vote to Stop Brexit, so we can build a city and a country where every person, every community and our planet can thrive.
