Michael Dingemans has lived in Barnes for nearly 20 years. He has dual Dutch and Irish nationality and worked in publishing abroad before moving to the UK in 1995 and setting up his own publishing business. He and his wife recently opened a small shop locally and he is keen to ensure that the council helps small businesses thrive in the borough to provide a greater diversity of independent retailers. As a father of teenage children, he is also keen to emphasize the importance of providing local opportunities for young people.
