In Bridget's own words

I’m very proud and honoured to have been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Northwest Cambridgeshire. I’ve lived in Cambridgeshire for 35 years and I welcome this opportunity to serve my community at a national level.

As a Lib Dem District Councillor for 11 years I have a strong track record in delivering innovative community development projects including the award winning Gamlingay Eco Hub. I have also been responsible for a range of rural business support and economic development initiatives and for promoting green energy projects which are profitable for communities.

‘My message to voters is clear, it is time that we brought truth and honesty back into politics’. Spin and alternative truth have had their day. It is because I care about people that I will always listen to them, I will always speak the truth and I will always keep my promises’.

I will fight to ensure that any Brexit deal is informed by facts and not fiction and is a fair deal for everyone. If the deal is going to cost families money they need to know exactly how much.

The other parties never cease to patronise the electorate with half truths and poor information. The electorate no longer wants a nanny state requiring us to ‘leave it up to them’. I believe that everyone deserves to know the facts and to be active players in the politics which shape their lives. I will trust the people of NW Cambridgeshire to know what is best for them and I hope that they will trust me to put that knowledge into practice.
