Yvonne Nobis
Labour candidate for Shelford
I always work collaboratively and I’ll work constructively with other parties on the County Council, where Labour holds the balance of power. I’m a mother, working in the university, so education – a County Council responsibility – is important to me. For example, I’m concerned that some Newnham families are having problems accessing secondary schools for their children. If elected, I will work hard to tackle this issue. Casework co-ordinator for her union, regularly advising and representing members on employment matters, including many cases with an equalities element. Also committed to improving social care, having been in the situation in which many find themselves, trying to find suitable help and care.
