In Adam's own words

I’m standing to be a District Councillor because local issues have been ignored for too long. Years of cuts from both Conservative and Labour governments have driven up inequality, anti-social behaviour and left our infrastructure crumbling, while the Lib Dem run council has failed to respond effectively. New estates are being built without the services they need, and basic repairs to roads and paths are continually overlooked. I want to change that.

I’ve been a strong community voice before. During my Natural Sciences degree, I served as a student and department representative, worked as a student union accessibility officer, and supported staff strikes for fair pay and better working conditions.

As a scientist and astronomy enthusiast, I believe in evidence-based decision-making to improve services for everyone. We know, for example, that youth centres reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and that communities thrive with more green spaces. As a disabled resident, I’m also committed to making our public spaces, facilities and services genuinely accessible.
