Jody Paul Gabriel
Green Party candidate for Wakefield East
I have lived in Wakefield East for 20 years, and work locally with people with disabilities. Wakefield Council has a massive majority of Labour Councillors, and no Green Councillors presently. I would be free to challenge, bring fresh ideas and promote a voice for local ecology. Key issues for me include; the cuts to the adult social care budget, the amount of plastic waste flowing in the Calder which is clear to see at Stanley Ferry and flows along and through our ward, the state of our roads paths and cycle ways, and the issue of Child Safeguarding which has recently been flagged up by OFSTED as having significant weaknesses. Please get in touch.
