In Catherine's own words

I’ve lived in Walthamstow for 13 years, and many of you will know me from conversations on your doorstep. St James is a special place to me, and over the last four years as one of your councillors I’ve supported more than 1,000 local residents with housing problems, anti-social behaviour and other issues - a strong track record of getting things done for local residents.

I care deeply about this community and about making sure no one is left behind.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve worked since I was 15, and a Labour government changed my life. I’m now the CEO of a women’s centre and have spent over 20 years working in healthcare and supporting women and girls.

As a councillor, I’ve led work across the borough on health inequalities, initiated Waltham Forest becoming a Borough of Sanctuary, and supported declaring a nature emergency - putting those values into action locally.

Locally, I’ve helped secure the new St James medical centre and fought to save CRATE, protecting local businesses and jobs. I’ve also supported investment in our parks and green spaces, backed nature recovery and worked to create opportunities for local people. I’m Chair of Governors at a local primary school.

I’ll keep working hard for St James and standing up for local residents - and it would be an honour to have your support.
