“**About Luke Glazzard**”
“I’ve lived in East London for seven years and, with family here all my life, I now firmly call Waltham Forest home. I’ve been campaigning, fundraising and organising since I was a school kid, particularly on issues like housing, equality, migrant rights, and economic & environmental justice.”
“Professionally, I spent ten years working as a chef, before becoming a mature student and changing careers; I now manage strategic change projects at a publicly funded environmental research organisation, where I work to turn strategy into meaningful outcomes.”
“From youth campaigning, to running my own business, to international research collaborations, to union organising, I bring strong leadership and a practical, impact focused approach.”
“**What Luke stands for**”
“I stand for class-conscious, community-led politics.”
“Waltham Forest needs strong, visible representation that is prepared to challenge decisions that don’t serve residents. Development should work for the community, not for developers; proper consultation, protection for green spaces, and genuinely affordable housing must be prioritised. We need action on fly-tipping and neglect to ensure a clean, safe neighbourhood we can all take pride in. I want to protect and improve local services, and ensure the safety, inclusion, and wellbeing of all residents, especially those most at risk.”
“I believe in politics rooted in solidarity, where decisions are made with people, not for them.”
