In Marco's own words

**About Marco Hacon**

I’ve lived in London for the past 10 years and have long been connected to Waltham Forest through regular visits to family. Having recently made the area my home, I’m committed to being an active voice for local residents.

I have a Masters’ in Environment, Politics, and development, and have dedicated the last 5 years of my career to tackling climate change.

In my spare time I like to participate in triathlons as well as volunteer for green and social issues.

**What Marco stands for**

I stand for putting people and planet first. That means tackling the climate crisis locally through cleaner air, better green spaces, and sustainable transport. I believe politics should serve communities with decisions shaped by local voices that ensure no one is left behind.

I’m committed to fairness, wellbeing, and practical action that improves everyday life. Ultimately, I’d like to see a more inclusive and resilient Waltham Forest.
