In Basit's own words

I moved to Wokingham 4 years ago with my family and currently serve in a senior leadership role for a multinational organisation in the technology sector. My expertise lies in digital transformation, with a special focus on strategic growth and customer excellence.

I am an enthusiastic supporter of Wokingham's vision to enhance the town for both current and future residents. With a strong commitment to turning this vision into action, I aim to contribute to shaping policies that improve the overall quality of life for everyone in Wokingham.

As a town councillor, I have been working with Rachel and Imogen to address complaints related to anti-social behaviour, and to improve the safety of the area around St Cecilia play area.

I have a particular fondness for green spaces and dynamic festivals in Wokingham. As a dedicated member of the community, I support the Council's efforts to create environmentally friendly and sustainable facilities and events. It is my goal to work diligently to ensure that the Council's initiatives align with these principles.

As a borough councillor, I would be a voice for the residents, understanding their concerns, and working towards solutions that enhance the quality of life for everyone.
