Arise councillor for Marlborough
Council: Harrow
Term ends: 2 May 2030
I, Pamela Fitzpatrick, will always stand up for the people of Harrow West. My name is Pamela Fitzpatrick, and I am standing as an independent Parliamentary candidate for Harrow West, a place where I live, work and raise my family. I am the founder of a local charity that was established in 2010, dedicated to providing free legal advice, and I am proud to have helped thousands with housing, benefits, and immigration issues. I served as a local councillor, and as a Chair of Governors, and I am a trustee for a youth charity, all roles through which I have directly witnessed the challenges we face from service cuts, extended GP wait times, and the lack of adequate support for children with special needs. I am deeply concerned about Harrow's housing crisis, which is exacerbated by the development of luxury properties that remain out of reach for most and affect many, but especially those in the private rented sector. As a member of our diverse community, I am acutely aware of the far-reaching effects of global conflicts, which underscores the importance of compassionate and understanding leadership. As a member of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and a director of the Peace and Justice Project, I am a committed advocate for social and economic justice, peace, and human rights in Harrow and beyond.
