Conservative councillor for St Neots Priory Park & Little Paxton
Term started: 7 May 2026
I’m Richard Tomlinson, your Conservative candidate for Huntingdonshire District Council in St Neots Priory Park & Little Paxton. I live in Little Paxton and currently serve as Chair of the Parish Council. Over the past few years I’ve been focused on practical local issues — from road safety, speeding and crossings to parking pressures and the condition of our roads. I’ve reported hundreds of potholes locally, and worked with the council to secure improvements where possible. I’ve also been championing work to find long-term solutions to flooding at Mill Lane Bridge — pushing for both immediate fixes and a proper long-term plan. I believe your councillors should show up and do the work. I have a 100% attendance record at Little Paxton Parish Council, and I regularly attend St Neots Town Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council meetings to speak up for local residents. My focus is simple: getting things done for St Neots and Little Paxton. I've been doing that in my parish council role and would continue to do that if elected to district council. I previously worked as a director at an international law firm, Chief Knowledge Officer in financial services, and now run my own consulting business, helping organisations improve how they operate and deliver results.
