Sardul lives in Monkspath. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 1995. He is a TV presenter on the Sikh Channel. Sardul has been involved in local politics and community affairs for over 30 years. In recognition of his services to the community, he was awarded the MBE in 1990, by Her Majesty the Queen. He has previously served as: Labour Councillor, school governor, Chair of Police Consultative Committee, Chair of West Birmingham Health Authority, Vice-Chair of Sports Council.
