Labour councillor for Caledonian

Council: Islington

Term ends: 2 May 2030

Labour

I am the Leader of Islington's Labour Council having represented Caledonian Ward since 2014. I was born and raised in Islington and served as the Borough's Mayor before becoming the Leader. I am the first ever Leader of the Council who is a Council tenant. I am actively involved in my church, local community schemes and inter-faith partnerships. My priority as Leader is to work with local people and communities to make sure their voices are heard and to achieve a more equal Islington.
